When all our differences are eliminated, and peace is the result...?

What will the resulting homogeny look like?

Will is look more like me?

Or more like you?

Update:

Corrosion EAC: ye gads!! I hope not!

Update 2:

ppp-p: You certainly did not answer it the right way. Answer it they way you would if it were asked the right way.

Update 3:

Emory: The difference between me, whitebread Norse, and a southern Nigerian African is greed? The difference between me, product of western civilization, and a village devotee to the goddess Kali is greed? Me, a citizen of godless secularism, and a Wahabi reformist Muslim, greed?

Each of us have valued cultural inheritances. Which of us is going to be forced to give up our valued traits to achieve peace?

Greed may be one source of our conflicts, but it is not a source of our differences. I want us to give up our greed and eliminate unnecessary conflict, but I want us to be very careful about giving up our differences.

Update 4:

tetsuno1: Even though I would have liked more detail, I think you hit on the crucial point. We each value our differences, and our differences have intrinsic value. If I call for the elimination of our differences in the cause of peace, how does that differ from me projecting my norm onto the rest of humanity. What we need is an agreed upon mechanism to adjudicate our differing needs that eliminates or minimizes the use of force, but we need to retain as many of our differences as possible. Our survival as a species may depend on it.

Let's eliminate your differences, not mine. So, that'd make everyone like me. It's gonna be fun, trust me, I should know.

    EDIT

    ------

Tho if we do it my way... peace won't be the result... but it'll be interesting :)

The Earth cannot provide for everyone's greed, which is the source of all our differences.

But who knows, when mankind learns how to colonise other planets or worlds of which there is a limitless number, and humanity will be separated by distance like our distant ancestors were before the advent of mass travel, then we will

adapt to local environments and our appearance will regress to those dictated by existing systems.

If there will be an abundance of sunlight then we will ALL look dark, and if there is very little sunlight then we will look like Scandinavians.

Darrol, you know this so what is the point of your question?

I remember reading a book a long time ago (don't remember the title) where everyone had become the same. Everyone had blond hair, blue eyes, all the women were 5'6 and the men 5'9, all had the same facial features pretty much. Except this one guy, he had one blue eye and one brown eye. He spent the entire book trying to escape what he thought of as hell.

The "homogeny" you speak of sounds boring, I like people just like they are, full of faults and problems, but also full of life and vigor, full of love ... so much so that even God finds us worthy of love.
