Although not as common, it is possible that you could have HSV-1 in your genital area. If he performed oral sex on you while he had an active cold sore, there you go.

(3) Another possible cause...you stated you were a virgin, and I am assuming by virgin you mean that you never engaged in vaginal intercourse prior to being with your current boyfriend. However, did you engage in any other types of sexual activity prior to having intercourse with your boyfriend (e.g. oral sex, anal sex)? Herpes can be transmitted via oral and anal sex.

I am absolutely terrified and I feel so alone. I just found out last week that I tested positive for hsv1 and 2.
