iPod help?
I have an iPod mini and when i plug it into my computer it doesn't work. ive tried installing the driver, but that doesn't work. no matter what I do, iTunes will not recognize my iPod. my computer is a somewhat old Dell desktop with Windows XP. help!!!

This happens to a lot of ipods. Theres not much I can tell you and if you try and contact them, they don't help one bit. Try it on another computer and see if it recognizes it and installs it there, if not theres probably not much you can do about it. Either buy a new one or if under warranty, request a new one and give them the old.

Windows XP with SP2 and USB2 or Firewire connection?
ipod are verify picky on the hardware... make sure all that matches before you try connecting the IPod again

It could be just your computer is getting real old. I'd try plugging it in another USB or Firewire port and see if it works then. Otherwise it is just the USB port.
