He can't force you to sign anything, but eventually he'll get the separation anyway.

You are just ignoring the inevitable, hat's off to you for trying to keep it together but it seems like your husband's mind is made up and legally you don't have a choice but to sign the papers. You should have more self respect for yourself and want to be with someone who loves you. If you bind him in this marriage against his will it will lead to lot's of anger and resentment on his part and if there are kids involved you should at least try to salvage a friendship for their sakes. Life is too short for you to be going after someone who doesn't love you back, nobody deserves that. Best of luck to you and may God give you the wisdom to do what is right.

I assusme he knows you still love him and don't want this. You cannot be made to sign them but all it will do is drag out the process. He can obtain a divorce without your consent eventually. Unfortunately he seems to have made up his mind he wants out of the marriage so the best thing you can do for your own well being is to sign them and accept it is over.

My question is: Why do you want to be with someone that doesn't want you? I know you love him, but the feeling is not mutual. If you don't sign them now, sooner or later he can get a judge to force it without your signature (same goes for a divorce)

Your relationship was destroyed the minute you both said "I DO" marriage ruins relationships. What you need to do is find someone else, fall in love and never get married again.
