Is 42 lbs at 5 months old average for a male boxer?

I think he's bigger than average which is what I wanted when I picked him out of the litter..... just wanted to see what maybe some other boxer owners have to say about that size.

thanks

Update:

To respond to a few comments he is SOLID... we go to the dog park almost daily and he runs and wrestles with dogs twice his size for an hour.... he's not aggressive at all but he does not give up no matter when when a full grown dog is kicking his butt all over the park LOL

Update 2:

and he just eats a LOT of puppy chow.... and pupperonis and dog biscuits.... and the neighbor's cat poop in the front yard if I don't catch him first!!

Height wise its usually around 8 months but they keep growing and maturing up until they are around 3-4 years old. Boxers are slow developers. We have a male 5 months old pup also along with two older girls. How much does hyour boy weigh? Have you any pics of him? Regards TC

YES! I have a Boxer and when I got him for Christmas he was 20 lbs at 1 month. None of it was fat. now, he is 1 year old and 105. Not a ounce of fat on him. His name is Beastie because of his size. He is a beast!!!!
