No, because he's not even the MVP on his own team with KG now in Boston.

No way because he doesnt average enough points, he doesnt get many rebounds or assists, and if look at MVP it stands for MOST VALUABLE PLAYER, the celtics would still be amazing without pierce so hes not valuable. I think it should be Kobe because the lakers would suck without him.

He is not a legimate contender because he has KG and Ray Allen. But Kobe has nobody and Lebron has nobody. Dwight Howard etc.
