How many times?
Does anyone know how many times God is referred to in the Bible? I have a devious little book of facts and I will give 10 pts to the first person to get it right.
EDIT> The devious book of facts doesn't actually mention which edition. So the best answer 10 pts will go to the closest to the answer I have. Some good answers so far.

Bit of a blind question - which version? Being very keen to get to level 2 let me try:
NIV = 3930
NKJV = 4155
KJV = 4094
NASB = 4188
All taken from a word search on Biblegateway....an amazing resource for any matters relating to Bible texts in so many different translations.... happy hunting
PS Just how can you give us points? Is there a transfer system on here?

I get an approximate total of 4410 from Strong's Concordance to the KJV Bible. I could only count up one column and then count all the columns (and there are a couple of 'left-overs') and tote them up on the calculator.
I have no "devious little book of facts."
And probably no 10 pts from you...

and he's got the answer as well, right from (actually Wiki) and Strong's to you, with accuracy and no hands-on fumbling like I did. Okay... thumbs up to that person!
