Where are people's car horns located?

I had this really annoying argument with someone years ago about this - she insisted that most car horns are located on a stick to the side of the steering wheel. I have NEVER seen this that I'm aware of - aren't most car horns a big button ON the steering wheel?

Where's yours?

Update:

I am talking about the car horn control; the bit you actually press to make the sound!

Over time and in different countries and different manufacturers have put their horns and/or lights anywhere and everywhere.

Most cars have the horn on the steering wheel, but I've driven Fiats and Peugeots that had the horn on a lever on the side. I also drove a Citroen that had the horn as a button on the dashboard. Also tractor trailers have the horn on the roof, hanging by a cord, you pull the cord the horn goes off.

Not too long ago I still had a car where the high/low beam switch was on the floor about 8 inches to the left of the brake pedal, I don't think you can find cars like this anymore, but at one time this pretty much used to be the norm.

When it comes to cars you can find some pretty wild stuff out there, sometimes out of convenience or as a matter of economics or because of laws.

In Germany ALL turn signals must be yellow, no other color is allowed.

Trabants (the East German cars that became world famous when the Berlin Wall came down) had no gas gauge, it did come with a metal ruler to measure the contents of the gas tank.

The French Citroen 2CV which goes back to the 50's and was built till the 80's had a fuel economy of about 50 mpg and had a hydraulic suspension which allowed you in an emergency to drive on three wheels.

In america is seems most horns are on the steering wheel. Mine has a control on either side of the center of the steering wheel ~ 2 horns in total. I have never seen a horn on the stick on the side of the steering wheel~that's just me though, clearly someone has seen it.

90% of car horns are on the steering wheel unless customized. And Mine has 2 buttons on the steering wheel.

Where you press, is in the wheel, but its actual horn is in the engine.

They are hard to find sometimes. Usually towards the front of the car, maybe in the front grill, sometimes they are even inside one of the fenders. The click you are hearing is the horn relay - those are either under the dash or in the engine compartment fuse/relay box.
