Sunday-Starter begininng new birth control pack a week late!?
I just finished my last pack of Yaz birth control pills, last Sunday, December 9th, and I have yet to purchase my new pack. To spare you the long story, I will just say that there was extreme miscommunication with the pharmacy, and I was unable to pick up my new pack last Sunday. It is now a week later, and I have not started my new pack, and I won't be able to pick up my new pack until tomorrow. Can I resume taking my new pack, even though I am a Sunday-Starter, or do I have to wait to start a new pack?? Help, please. Thank you in advance!

If your pill free break is longer than the usual seven days, you may not be protected. Use a barrier method (i.e. a condom) for at least seven days if you do not want to get pregnant.

Well, I had this problem about a month ago. I was a week late starting my new pack, and because of my screwed up hormones, I ended up having my period for the week I was supposed to, stopped the next week, and then started again for 2.5 more weeks. And I still have it. I'd guess it's going to take quite a few weeks to get regular again. So I wouldn't wait to start taking it again, just skip the pill you were supposed to take today, because this whole deal is a real pain.

Pretty sure you can start whenever, as long as you keep starting on that day when you begin the new pack. And, as the person who already posted said, you're going to want to use another method of birth control for a bit.
