miscarriage??
I believe that I had a miscarriage about a month and a half ago, and when I asked the opinion of my sister in law, who has miscarried twice, she said no need to go to doc (I don't have insurance) because they will just tell me same thing they told her. "the fetus will pass on its own". I was 2 months along. I haven't had a period this month does that mean I didn't miscarry? Or I didn't pass? How do I know? I don't believe its very healthy if it was a miscarriage. What should I do?
honest and nice helpful answers only please. Thank you

You should go see your doctor. If your worried about not having insurance, go to a free clinic. If you feel like something is wrong, then it probably is.

First of all, I suggest taking a pregnancy test to confirm if you are still in fact pregnant. Unfortunately, as already advised above, you really need to see a doctor. It is possible to miscarriage and pass everything naturally but you don't know for sure if that is what happened.
When it happened to me, I didn't bleed/pass anything until 4 weeks after the fetus had died (which was the first time I knew something was wrong). I ended up with an infection - and agonising pain, that had to be treated by antibiotics. An infection left untreated can be very bad and also affect later fertility. Please see a doctor or your local hospital immediately, for your own peace of mind. Good luck.

Miscarriages should be extremely painful and bloody as all hell. To the point you would have gone to the hospital because it would have bothered you so much. The hospital has what is called Charity Care. So you should get that. Anyways...if it was a miscarriage then it may take some time for your period to get back on track. i know after both of my deliveries it took my period close to two months to come on. Or you could still be pregnant. I think you should apply for health insurance through the state...then go to the doctor for it..and then have the state reimburse you for that appointment. Good luck!

I would go to your doctor, anything anyone tells you here won't be definite but a trip to the doctor can clear up the whole thing.
Are there any free clinics in your area? If you've miscarried and you don't know if it's passed or not it can harm you. If you haven't had a miscarriage you're going to need to see a doctor at some point soon.

You really should check with a doctor. If you don't have insurance, check for a women's health clinic in your area. Some miscarriages will pass on their own, but some don't. I had 2 that needed D&Cs Here's a website to help inform you. Good luck with your decision, and know that you aren't alone.

the best thing to do is to go to the doctor. no a doctor is not cheap, but in the end you have to consider what your health is worth to you. and in most cases a early miscarriage will pass on it's own, but not always, and only a doctor can tell you if it has all passed, or if you need a D and C to fully clean out the uterus. and if you are pregnant then you are in need of medical attention anyway!!

You really need to get checked by a doctor. If you did miscarry and the tissue has not passed yet you can get a serious infection. Go to the ER and pay for it later if you have to. Besides if you are still pregnant you need to get good prenatal care anyway.
Good luck!!

I would go to the Dr too. When I misscarried I passed the tissues 24-48 hours after the bleeding started. The cramps were so painful and I thought that it would never end but it did. My dr told me that if I started a fever or started to throw up then I needed to go in.

Why do you believe you had a miscarriage? Is it possible that you're still pregnant?
If you didn't pass any tissue (you would have at 2 months), you could have had an incomplete miscarriage and you need to have your uterus checked out and cleaned out. It's dangerous to your health if you don't. Go to a free clinic at a hospital, please.

Pregnancy and miscarriages can be a very tricky situation. Usually different things for different people. I know you dont want to hear this, but the best thing to do is see a doctor. Try the health dept and they will usually charge you very little.
You could or couldnt be. But waiting for a while could be very unhealthy.
Good Luck sweetie!

Go see a doctor!
Even miscarriages have risks attached, regardless of the "pass on its own" route. It is better to be safe than sorry, especially if you aren't 100% sure.
