Dying black hair red?

As a hairdresser taking black hair anywhere but to black is a job and a half for us as we are not ever sure what color you will turn out.....one thing to remember is that color does not remove color, it only deposits the base in a color. Colored Black hair ....the color has to be removed first, then a color deposited. I do not know about LIVE XXL colourant, as it must be off of a store shelf not a professional salon product.

My hair is black dyed, and I used XXL on my hair and it made no difference, just a slight colour change at the roots. I bought red hair extension clips to put in, and blonde ones too, so I can change them however I feel, and don`t need to be so plain black now. Hope this helps :0)

Ask your local beautician. I like black hair and you could try to dye it red but it would probably go a brownish red colour.

Well, I wouldn't die your hair too much, because it will eventually become brittle. (My cousins hair is uubber dry from that.) But I like the black!! hehe [: Though it's all really your choice.

for me it depends in the girl. Like I might see a girl with black hair and think she is totally hot however see a girl with blond hair that is meh and vice versa.

it will not work if you wish to change to a red I'd seek the advise of your local salon to do this....
