Twitching Eyelid / Eye?
I'm 24 weeks pregnant and i've had a constant eyelid twitch (well... usually more in the morning hours) for about 4 weeks now. I've heard it's lack of potasium and eating 1 banana a day helps. What other home remedy can you give me??

I've read several article's on this and they all pretty much give the same answer:
Reducing stress, rest
this one gave a list of reasons your eyes twitch
http://www.allaboutvision.com/conditions/eye-twitc...
Stress
Tiredness
Eyestrain
Caffeine
Alcohol
Dry eyes
Nutritional imbalances
Allergies
I've also been told dehydration can cause your eye to twitch but I have never found anything to prove this..(never looked either) so it could be possible

There are a number of causes for twitching eyelids - I,m giving you a link.
If yours is due to lack of potassium eating a banana is the best way to rectify it. If you dont like bananas try avocados, nuts, seeds, dried fruit, tomatoes.potatoes and oranges.
If down to the other causes you will have an idea of how to rectify it. eg tiredness - get more sleep

First & foremost- thanks for answering my question!
Minor eyelid twitches require no treatment as they usually resolve spontaneously. Reducing stress, using warm soaks, or correction of any refractive error may help. Some ophthalmologists recommend reducing caffeine usage. Also staying away from drinks with excess Aspartame and Nutra-sweet (both sugar substitutes) can be beneficial. Relieving stress may also be helpful.

You may want to get one of those health books about eating.. (sorry I'm only answering since you asked.. lol) I don't know much about what you should or shouldn't eat when prego.. but definitely bulk up on veggies, fruits, your vitamins.. i think amino acids could be good too from fish - although you have to be careful with Tuna since that has Mercury. But I wish you the best and many well wishes with your new baby! :)

Try to put some water and soothing lotion over it for a while, and try the banana-eating technique. Go to the doctor if, after a few days of doing this, it persists.

It's caused from lack of sleep or stress. It happens to me once in a while. If you can get just one good night's sleep it should go away.
