I have a wonderful mother in law. I love her as though she were my own mother. We get along great together and have a very close mother daughter relationship. It wasn't always that way though, not until I got used to how she acted and reacted about things. But once i got her somewhat figured out, we started getting along wonderfully.

I get along great with mine. My husband is the one stuck with crazy in-laws. My mil helped with the planning of the wedding and anything else needed. Shes a pretty great lady.

My sister-in-law and my mom get along great! They have gotten along since the moment they met. I hope that if I ever decide to get married, I can have that kind of realtionship with my mil.

I get along with mine because she's all my husband has in regards to family. She's a bit crazy and damned annoying but honestly it's nothing I can't just ignore. And my husband loves her so I suck it up and am nice and polite because it's the right thing to do for my husband.

I loved my mother-in-law dearly. She is deceased now.
My hubby and I eloped. After we were married, his Mom took me aside and said, "That Robert is just like his Father, Charlie. You have any problems with him, you come to me and I'll be on YOUR side!" ... in the meantime, MY Mother took Robert aside and said, "I raised that girl and I know what she's like. If you have any troubles with her, you come to me and I'll be on YOUR side!" SO, Robert and I agreed that if we ever had problems and split up, he'd go home to MY Mother, and I'd go home to HIS!!
Every married couple should be so lucky in their in-laws!!
