Tales of Phantasia Question?
I'm stuck at the tower of Odin. Online walkthroughs have said I need a Nymph's ring which can be converted with a rune bottle from a salamander's ring. Supposedly, I should be able to find these while fighting around the tower. I've been doing this for days and no Salamander or Nymph ring at all. What am I doing wrong?
I figured out the problem. I'm playing the GBA version which is different from the walkthrough's I've read slightly. Most notably is that this ring does not exist. There is no protection from the fire in Odin's tower unfortunately. This has put a damper on my entire game because I don't really have the desire to use Mint's revitalize every three steps. Ridiculous. Why did they change that?

Aren't salamanders rings found in the fire temple? sorry it's been a while since playing the game and I never had any trouble not obtaining them.

These rings do exist, but were nerfed. Salamander Rings are now called Flare Charms, and Nymph Rings are now called Ice Charms. They offer 30% protection instead of 100%. Give the girls Princess Capes instead and Claus should use the Garnet pact ring - those offer 50% protection. Cless and Chester are stuck with Ice Charms or Flare Capes (which are 30% protection against fire AND earth - Ice Charms are now obsolete before you can get them!). :(
