Sharp pain in back of head?

I have suffered from cluster headaches for 11 years now and yesterday I had a different type of headache than ever before. It was just on the right side of the back of my head and then spread all over the back of my head. My jaws don't hurt, no dizziness, no nausea...just severe stabbing pain followed by dull pain and then it starts over. Should I go to the hospital or what is it?

Update:

I have no insurance so I would be going to the hospital and paying for it when I get the bill.

I would either go to the hospital or go to see your doctor. It could be many things but it is not worth taking any chances with your health.

I would call my doctor and see if you can get in. This could be a change in your cluster headaches or it could be something unrelated. New, unusual symptoms usually warrant a doctor visit.
