I have an 87 Honda Accord and when I engage the clutch I can hear a grinding/scratching noise that smells and you can hear it spinning. It makes these sounds whether pushed in fully or barely touching the clutch. When you release the clutch it continues for 10-15 secs with the above. What could it be?

when I went to go get it they asked me if it was carb or fuel injected. I had no clue so he just picked on and it doesn't seem to get that tight fit like the last one did. What is the difference between the two caps? My car is still running hot after 5 minutes.
