Gateway desktops vs HP desktops? how about Dell? All for desktop computers?
I know that hp uses asus motherboard for their desktops, and gateway uses Intel motherboard.

Dell also uses Asus.
All are good in their own right. Pick out what chip you want and get as much RAM as the board will handle and you will be OK with what ever else you select.
