My computer keeps getting a pop up about a Trojan infected worm?

My laptop keeps getting a pop up that pops up everytime I open my email, or try to send a message, or try to access my address book. It says Trojan.Win32.Obuscalated. Please help, how do I get rid of it. I don't know what to do. I cannot do anything within my email without it popping up every 2 seconds. My pop up blocker is on. I ran a mcafee scan and now my laptop virus protection program is aware of it ; however, I cannot get rid of these pop ups proclaiming it every 2 seconds. Please advise, Thanks...Oh I forgot, it also keeps offering me a chance to download a software that will take care of the pop up, but I ain't buying that, I refuse to download that software. Thanks for all who help me!

Trojan.Win32.Obfuscated.gx (Trojan.Win32.agent.akk) is a fake trojan designed to scare users and enforce them to purchase rogue anti-spyware products such as IEDefender and AntiSpyPro. Obfuscated.gx may already come bundled with another software or it may appear through your browser security holes. Obfuscated.gx may change desktop settings, hijack web browser and display an annoying icon in the system tray.

Your computer has a Smitfraud infection. Any "warnings" are fradulant and a scam. You are so really smart to ignore them.

The standard tool to remove this pest is SmitfraudFix. The full removal procedure and the free removal tool is here:

    http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix_En.php

Almost all "general purpose","all-in one" spyware and virus removal programs such as AVG, Norton, McAfee or Spybot S & D cannot remove it.

    Good luck.

Go to the mcafee site and try to download some software from there because you definately have a virus...or you could back up all your info on CD's and then wipe your hard drive and reload everything.

For my spyware issues, my friends and I have used the following free programs:

    - Adaware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/)

    - Spybot - Search & Destroy (http://www.safer-networking.org/)

It will get rid of most spyware and they are updated recently.

P.S. You should use both together. Sometimes one finds stuff the other won't.

    Download this,

    http://www.download.com/Spybot-Search-Destroy/3000...

Don't click on anything the pop up sends you because it's all spyware/adware.

The link I posted is spybot search and destroy and it gets rid of spyware/adware and trojans.
