My car doesn't blow warm air, does anyone know why?

I let my car warm up until the temperature is normal. When I turn on the heater (even after driving it for a while) it doesn't really blow warm air. I have an eclipse. I felt all the vents. The 3 right vents blow close to warm air but not really warm. The 2 on the left are usually cold or just temperature from outside. Also when I turn on the warm air for the windshield the same thing happens, the right side is kind of warm while the left side is temperature from outside or just normal but not warm. I do have coolant in the radiator and I had the thermostat changed last year.

pass to a areas residing house, purchase a pocket thermometer and insert it into the sprint vent. turn the a/c to max or recirc mode, blower on hi and notice what temperature is easily exiting the vents. If the air temp is 35 to 50 tiers then you somewhat are possibly getting all you will get. it somewhat is achieveable the nice and cozy water decrease off valve is malfunctioning and allowinghot water to run by way of the heater middle which will over vome the a/c on warm days. it is likewise achieveable the vac operated "combination" doors are no further working top and you % that corrected. I easily have given you the main uncomplicated problems to envision out herein. BTW: 1999 GM and all different makes do no longer use freon, it somewhat is banned- on the grounds that 1993. you have refrigerant R134A. Your device isn't out of date, it quite is not blowing by way of the refrigerant. right it somewhat is a crash path: The compressor pumps liquid R134A under hi tension from the compressor to the condensor middle the place it surrenders absorbed warmth. Them it somewhat is pumped under hi tension by way of an accumulator or drier, then by way of an orifice or enlargement valve or some form of restrictor into the evaporator middle the place it somewhat is now a decrease tension gas the place it absorbs warmth from the cabin air. From there is flows under low tension decrease back to the compressor and recycles returned and returned till close down. See in the journey that your automobile has an indoors air filter out, if sure ck or substitute it, examine the temp on the vents as till now defined herein, and be valuable the belts are no longer slipping on the compressor. On somewhat warm days returned use max or recirc settings because it makes use of strictly indoors air it somewhat is less demanding to kick back than the sparkling outdoors air it somewhat is warm. there'll be a noticable difference in the two settings on my own. BTW: the fat line is the low tension line the dmaller line the severe tension. in case you identify which you quite % a charge of refrigerant and shortage the talents, you will possibly be heavily injured ot killed if improperly dealt with or performed. evaluate your ability tiers and act subsequently, saving some earnings exertions isn't nicely worth an eternal of deadly harm.

Lots of cars have a valve in the engine bay that controls the flow of hot coolant to the heat system. Sometimes these valves are stuck, or the cable or vacuum that actuates the valve is broken.

Look for the two hoses that run from the engine to the firewall to see if YOUR car has this valve.

Sounds like its time to get your heater core replaced. Your heater will get filled up with calcium deposits over time. So eventually it needs to be replaced.

Make sure your antifreeze/coolant isn't low. If not it's proabbaly the doors that control air circulastion in the cabin.
