Which is more important?
I currently have a job in which I drive 45 minutes one way to get there, then I sit behind a desk typing, filing, etc. Very boring but pay is well and there is insurance benefits. I also spend at least 50-75 in gas to drive and then 50 on lunches etc. a week. I have been offered a job in which I would only have to drive less than 1 mile, less money, no benefits yet I would be up moving around and keeping quite busy. At best 20 dollars in gas and no lunch as I would go home to eat. Saving around 125.00 a week which makes up for pay cut.
My bf is mad says I need to just keep driving and not quit. What would you do?

It depends on how important the benefits are to you~ that would be a make it or break it with me. Although that drive does suck and being closer to home would be awesome I would honestly go with the new job offer IF the insurance benefits are no big deal to you Oh, and is there room to move up at the new job? Thats a biggie too.. Good luck

I think you have a good case for both.
However,
Which job has advancement possiblities?
Will you regret not giving up the commute when you could - gas prices will only go up?
Your BF only wants what's best for you does he understand that you'd like to drive less/eat at home?
Do you need a change?
Personally I'd go for the job nearby. On a great day you could bike or walk - a real treat.
Take a time to consider each imagining where you'll be in five years. Which future is for you?
Good luck.

With either job is their opportunity for advancement?
Will you really be saving $125 a week after you figure in what it will cost to pay your own health insurance? If you haven't looked into it, do, it can be really expensive.
Besides that, job #2 sounds like a better deal. You're spending a ton of time in the car each day, not only will you be able to sleep in later...you'll have more of your evenings free. And...you'll be busier at work.
Why does your boyfriend think it's a bad idea?

It depends, is this new job something different you think you would really enjoy? If it's not I would stay where you are with the benfits. Insurance and a 401k are must have's in todays world. If your not happy at your current job keep looking for something else that has a competitive pay to what you are making plus benfits. Think it over good before you make a dumb decision because once you quit your job they probably won't rehire you.

But the insurance is worth it. Is there room for advancement at either job? You could save on lunches by bring something to eat with you daily.

Since the financial saving would simply compensate for the pay cut - which job would you be happier working at? That could be the deciding factor.

I would take the closer job if I could get insurance without going broke.
