Why dont people worry more about global warming? Is anyone else really concerned about this.?

Some of us believe that the global warming phenomenon will not come to full effect within our lifetime. But really, why should we care about a catastrophe that won't be happening during our lifetimes? To make ourselves feel special? To give our lives meaning? Hmm... maybe I should ask these questions on yahoo answers myself.

But really, I would think that the effects of global warming thus far are too vague for the average joe to attribute to global warming. Thus far, these so called negative effects are not slapping the general population hard enough across the face.

So many lies and mistruths have ben told about this, that I am becoming sceptical. I will give a couple of examples.

FACT 1. In recent years the globe has actually cooled, yet we are told it has warmed.

FACT 2. Over 80% of the CO2 in the atmosphere is emitted by volcanoes. So even if we eliminated our contributions (say going back to a Luddite era), the effect on the atmosphere would be under 20%.

Now, these 2 examples are from the doomsayers. The "other side" of the debate have ben equally misleading.

In view of the 2 facts above, I am still somewhat sceptical.

It is a genuine concern of the conservatives. More than you know. But what can the average Joe do about it? Just stop driving cars all together? Well I'd like to see you commute to work fifteen miles every morning at 6:00 am, or carry groceries five miles in the snow.

Look system on this shitty earth is made so that you can not worry about anything less than how can you live from day to day. Problems like global warming are not the first on the list of problems.

Oh, I'm very concerned about it, but I live in Colorado and by the year 2012 I plan on having beach front property.

I worried and I am taking action few years ago, same concept has been convey to my both kids. I am still finding info relating to this issue and how to improve the situation. I know with minor gruop of ppl doing may not help much but we should still doing it. Any action you have taken?

im really concerned once im old enough im moving out of california were gonna get sunked o_o but yeah im worried about all the animals that are gonna suffer like the poor polar bears there gonna drown no more ice!!! Gahhh!! i love animals.

some are just ignorant but most are concernd about global warming.

one problem, stoping million-billion dollar companies from doing things that are bad for the envirement is pretty much impossible.

because they don't want to accept that the world as we know it is going to end, because of us. It's a hard pill to swallow, remember these are the same people who still believe santa claus even in adulthood.

you think like this probably cuz u dont see 2 much ppl who are really worried bout diz......u could joing a "green" group or something .....maybe ull help this way
