Upset stomach every morning?
Since I had a baby 6 months ago I have had awful problems with diarrhea. I have it every morning, very loose, and normally need to go maybe 5 or 6 times in the first hour of being up. I never really had any problems before having my baby, so I presume it must be related!??
I have an ok-ish diet, not as varied as I would ideally like, but with a small baby to look after I do my best, lol.
After I go first thing in the morning, I normally have to go maybe 2 or 3 more times during the rest of the day, and it is a bit more formed, probably on the loose side of normal.
I have also wondered if I have a wheat intolerance as if I have a lot of wheat (pasta etc) then I seem to get a bad stomach about an hour afterwards. I have pretty much eliminated wheat from my diet, but this has not resolved the problem in the mornings.
I did go and see my doctor about this, who had no ideas and referred me to the hospital.Unfortunately I was not able to go to my appt as the hospital is 50 miles away
Just thought of something else... when I need to go it is a very sudden feeling.. I can be going about my business and then literally have to drop everything, put the baby on the floor and run to the toilet.
My doctor said it might just be because im tired from looking after a new baby on my own, but that wouldnt make me this bad would it??!???
I had an emg caesarean when I had my baby.

go back to the doctor, and try your best to eat more healthily. you may simply be run-down, babies are exhausting!

When I had post natal depression 18 months ago that is how it all started, and it was exactly like your describing, sometimes pnd comes out in a physical way as opposed to "feeling depressed" maybe have a think about that when I actually thought about it I was stressed and crying maybe 3/4 times a week, feeling lonely and isolated. I started taking tablets very mild and instantly diahorrea went!!!! Worth thinking about!!

How many hours do you sleep each night. Try getting more sleep if you're sleeping under 7 hours. Also it would be good to have a regular sleep-wake cycle. Go outside when you first wake up, it will help with your circadian rhythm.
When ever I vary my waking time or going to sleep time, I can get your symptoms exactly (except for maybe the "dropping everything part)

are you male or female? if you're female, you may want to take a pregnancy test. When did you first start having stomach aches? Are you eating right? And when was the last time you had a bowel movment? Constipation can cause great pain in your tummy.

If I were you I would get a second opinion (from a GP or even a specialist) as your GP could be right but you may also be stressing about the situation with your stomach which could be making it worse.
