Help choosing what to study - Business or business with Law?
I am currently studying the first module (B120) of an Open University Business degree. This can go onto be just a BA (Honours) Business Studies degree, or it can become a BA (Honours) Business Studies with Law degree if I take certain modules.
I am unsure what to do, I do have an interest in law, but would not be able to commit to completing a full law degree within the 6 years that you have to in order for it to qualify you to then go on and be a solicitor.
What type of work could someone with a 'BA (Honours) Business Studies with Law' degree get? I have looked on the Internet but cant find anything, even paralegals have to have a specific law degree. Would having the extra law element make me more employable?
I am looking at either starting W100 in feb, or alternatively doing LB160 and DB123 starting in May. My current course finishes in May.

2 AnswersHigher Education (University +)1 decade agoHow to help heat damaged hair?
I have very fluffy wavy hair naturally, and a few months ago I had it cut to chin length. As it is now not long enough to be tied up I have been straightening it with GHD's after each washing (every 2-3 days).
The ends of it have gone terrible, really crinkly and dry and if i pull them just gently they snap off. I only had my hair cut about a month ago and they re-appeared just about straight away.
I use a heat protection spray - tresemme, also redken chemistry shots for mechanically damaged hair.
Im really trying to grow it longer again so I can tie it back and dont have to straighten it so much.
Any ideas in the meantime?
2 AnswersHair1 decade agoHave 13mo old baby, want to get a puppy.?
I have grown up with dogs, 4 border collies at one time, and find it very strange not having one now. My son is just starting to crawl. Would it be an awful idea to get a puppy now? I want something docile and trustworthy with kids like a golden retriever. We are planning baby number 2 in about 2 years from now and I thought it might be best if puppy was a bit older by that point so would be easier around new baby. xx

5 AnswersDogs1 decade agoEarly Morning waking?
My son is 9 months and has recently started waking up at 4.30am every morning and deciding its time to get up.
He has slept well til 6.30am up until a couple of weeks ago, and then started getting up gradually earlier and earlier.
We have been following gina ford since last october with no problems. He should be up 6.30 - 7, then has his nap 9.30 - 10, and another at 12.30. At this nap though he will only sleep for about 40-50 mins, not for the 2 hours he should be. He is then over tired by about 4, but will not have any further naps, he just gets hysterical if we try. This means that by 6pm he ridiculously tired and so normally ends up in bed for the night by 6.30. We were managing to keep him up til 7.30 before this early morning waking started. I have tried feeding him in his room, giving him a cuddle, controlled crying, and putting him to bed really late. None work. There is no noises or anything at that time in the morning. He has blackout curtains.
3 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoBaby wont sit or crawl :(?
My son was born 3 months early, in May last year although his due date wasnt until 22nd August.
Although it is his birthday next week, and he has a corrected age of 9 months he still wont sit by himself or crawl.
When I put him sitting he wants to stand up or scootch down so he is lying. We got him a bebepod seat but he just throws himself out of it, and a inflatable doughnut to sit in, but he just uses that like a recliner, and wont stay upright. I tried sitting him inbetween my legs too, but he just falls forwards or sideways still.
Also, he wont crawl, he has lots of tummy time, and lifts himself up on his hands very well but wont move anywhere, I keep putting toys infront of him, and moving his legs for him to show him but he isnt getting the hang of it at all.
Im getting a bit worried cos all the other babies we know that were born in august are walking, and were sitting and crawling months ago.
Any ideas?

1 AnswerDiet & Fitness1 decade agoHelp me choose an exercise bike?
I have had 2 exercise bikes in recent months..
this model:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/EXCERCISE-BIKE-ERGOMETRIC-BI...
The handlebars sheared off as the welding was poor quality
and this model:
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3...
Which I have had less than a week and is being returned for refund on monday as it is terrible quality and the pedals are very clunky when they turn.
Up until these recent problems I have been doing about 10 miles, 4 or 5 times a week, and my hubby uses it too, so I need something fairly sturdy.
I have been recommended these models:
http://www.gymworld.co.uk/prodpage.asp?ProdID=2312
http://www.gymworld.co.uk/prodpage.asp?ProdID=875
And also found this which looks very interesting:

I cant however find any reviews.....
1 AnswerDiet & Fitness1 decade agoIpod Folders/ Playlists?
My husband and I are looking at buying an Ipod classic or Nano to share. Would there be a way to seperate our music on it? We have very different tastes, and wouldnt want each others songs popping up.
Also, can you just copy the playlists you have on itunes onto the ipod? I have a workout playlist on there that I would want copied.

20 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoSlendertone belts - do they work?
Ive wondered about these for years.. has anyone any experience of them??
I have a rather tubby belly after my pregnancy, would love to do sit ups etc but have sciatica and am also a bit nervous of pulling those muscles about as the doctors made quite a mess of my caesarean and told me my stomach wouldnt be as strong now.
I do lots of cardio so am losing excess weight, just need to tone my stomach.
Theres lots of sales on, so I wonder whether to just try one and flog it on ebay if no good.
3 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoUpset stomach every morning?
Since I had a baby 6 months ago I have had awful problems with diarrhea. I have it every morning, very loose, and normally need to go maybe 5 or 6 times in the first hour of being up. I never really had any problems before having my baby, so I presume it must be related!??
I have an ok-ish diet, not as varied as I would ideally like, but with a small baby to look after I do my best, lol.
After I go first thing in the morning, I normally have to go maybe 2 or 3 more times during the rest of the day, and it is a bit more formed, probably on the loose side of normal.
I have also wondered if I have a wheat intolerance as if I have a lot of wheat (pasta etc) then I seem to get a bad stomach about an hour afterwards. I have pretty much eliminated wheat from my diet, but this has not resolved the problem in the mornings.
I did go and see my doctor about this, who had no ideas and referred me to the hospital.Unfortunately I was not able to go to my appt as the hospital is 50 miles away
7 AnswersOther - Diseases1 decade agoQuestion about exercise bike?
What is better for me?
8k in 20 mins every day
12k in 30 mins every other day
The 8k I can do easily everyday, but if I do the 12k then my muscles need a rest the next day.
Im trying to lose weight, what would be better for me?
The speed and heart rate are the same, its just the distance and time that are different.

1 AnswerNewborn & Baby1 decade agoSeperated, hubby wont give car back in her name?
My friend bought a car b4 her and her hubby got married, she doesnt drive, and the car was bought for them to use together but put in her name as he had a bad credit rating.
They since married, and have now seperated. He is refusing to give the car back. Can she legally call the police and have it returned as it is in her name, or will it need to be part of the divorce proceedings as she bought it with the intention of him driving it.
We are in the UK.
Thanks.
