Ipod Folders/ Playlists?

My husband and I are looking at buying an Ipod classic or Nano to share. Would there be a way to seperate our music on it? We have very different tastes, and wouldnt want each others songs popping up.

Also, can you just copy the playlists you have on itunes onto the ipod? I have a workout playlist on there that I would want copied.

I'm not sure if you can copy the folder on iTunes onto your iPod but what you can do is make a folder in your iPod and just copy all the songs from the playlist on iTunes into there. You can select all the songs by pressing the first song, holding shift, then selecting the last song. Once you've got all the songs selected you can simply just drag it into the new playlist inside your iPod section.

To seperate you and your husband's music, you can just have two playlists, one for the each of you, and within it have each of your songs. However, when you listen to it you're going to have to make sure that you're listening to the songs in the playlist, and not in the "Shuffle songs" section because the shuffle songs section will play every song in the iPod and not the ones that you have seperated.

I'm sorry if that was confusing, and I hope I was able to help :)

You go to My Computer then go to Organize or Tool option on top and go to Folder Option then go to the View tab then select view hidden file then press Ok, after done all that plug in you ipod and go to your iPod folder, then there will be couple folders that look very lighter than the others, go to the folder iPod Control and copy the whole Music folder to your flash drive or your computer, then unplug your iPod after you copy the Music folder, now go in the folder and there will be a lot of folders and they each contain your music from your iPod (some of them will be empty) the songs names will looks weird but dont worry cuz once you play it on iTunes it will show the correct name in iTunes for the song (but the file of the song still be in some weird name so you have to fix it on your own) Hope this help :D
