Help choosing what to study - Business or business with Law?
I am currently studying the first module (B120) of an Open University Business degree. This can go onto be just a BA (Honours) Business Studies degree, or it can become a BA (Honours) Business Studies with Law degree if I take certain modules.
I am unsure what to do, I do have an interest in law, but would not be able to commit to completing a full law degree within the 6 years that you have to in order for it to qualify you to then go on and be a solicitor.
What type of work could someone with a 'BA (Honours) Business Studies with Law' degree get? I have looked on the Internet but cant find anything, even paralegals have to have a specific law degree. Would having the extra law element make me more employable?
I am looking at either starting W100 in feb, or alternatively doing LB160 and DB123 starting in May. My current course finishes in May.
It would be English Law which would apply to England and Wales. Well aware of this, but not planning on moving so thats fine.

A girl i work with has got the Law and Business degree you refer to. I am a Prosecution Case Worker and although this isn't what she wants to do forever she wanted a job that was in keeping with her degree as she said how hard it is to get a job within the legal setting.
She did say to me one of the jobs that she could go into with it is Employment (HR) side of work as she completed employment law within her degree.
I hope this is a little help and you do see jobs that require qualified and Legal Human Resources Management who do get paid very well!

just remember the Law part of the degree only applies to Law in the country you studied the degree
it won't be of much use elsewhere,as Laws differ even in the different countries of the UK
