How to help heat damaged hair?
I have very fluffy wavy hair naturally, and a few months ago I had it cut to chin length. As it is now not long enough to be tied up I have been straightening it with GHD's after each washing (every 2-3 days).
The ends of it have gone terrible, really crinkly and dry and if i pull them just gently they snap off. I only had my hair cut about a month ago and they re-appeared just about straight away.
I use a heat protection spray - tresemme, also redken chemistry shots for mechanically damaged hair.
Im really trying to grow it longer again so I can tie it back and dont have to straighten it so much.
Any ideas in the meantime?
Its not really an option to not straighten it, as it is literally just a fluff ball and looks ridiculous.
I can tie the top half back, although the underneath still doesnt reach and this is already the most damaged area (the ends).
Also, if I cut all the damaged areas off daily I would literally have no hair left lol. I will get a trim soon but am looking for things to stop it just going back the same a couple of weeks later. xx

Well,
My hair is JUST like yours..
wavy, when I brush it it gets fluffy.. etc..
Uhm I'd really try olive oil.. (If you want a home remedy haha idk how well it works though...) and maybe don't shampoo it AS much.. since that dries it out..
I've found Pantene works really well..
But, yesterday I went to my hair salon, and got my hair dyed/cut and afterwards, the lady showed me this stuff, it's from the brand 'Catwalk.'
It's like a smoothing mask for your hair and you leave it for around 3 minutes, while you shower..
Afterwards my hair felt GREAT.
The ends were less frizzed, and it was wayy shiny.
I straighten mine every day, haha but I really suggest going to the salon and buying Catwalk Smooth and Silky supplies. I love it!
Good-Luck! ♥

If you want to grow it longer you must give up the straightening with GHD's completely.
Heat protection sprays are just a load of rubbish because they only pretend to protect your hair.
Perhaps there are other ways to tie your hair that don't require you to do what you are doing?
Please start cuting your split ends daily with a good pair of sharp scissors and your hair will thank you tremendously, alongside deep conditioning treatments weekly.
