Whats with the good old Brussel sprouts thumb downers?

I love them all the time

I'm no hater when it comes to vegetables, but sorry Robin I'm not with you when it comes to the Brussel Sprouts. Yeah, there probably healthier than the average vegetable but I think they taste terrible. I've gaged before when I ate some. Turnip's well that has never been prepared around the house with my family so I would have to say I probably wouldn't like those either (but I'd try it at least). I like the carrots, the green beans, the lettuce, the corn, the peas, tomato, potato's, yam's I can't think of any other at the moment but I know there's more! Do you really like them (Brussel Sprouts) or do you only eat them cause there so healthy?

I hadn't noticed the thumbs down but i am most shocked about it! Brussel sprouts are brilliant and it should be law that all people must eat them at Christmas and at least one other time in the year; possibly Easter, with lots of gravy.

I am a definite thumbs up. If I don't agree with an answer then I ignore it.

Thumbs down, and it probably because the Brussels sprouts we all had growing up were overcooked and got that awful, dank veggie smell (and taste). I can't even look at them now, despite being quite tasty when prepared properly.

I love brussell sprouts. It is one of my favorites. With butter and a little nutmeg... or sauted with some carmelized onions! Perfect! I can just eat a whole bowl of them for a meal and be happy! Tho I do fart alot after....

I am a thumbsUPPER on the B-sprouts. I noticed the thumbsdowning as well. I don't get it. Someone must have a brussel sprouts vendetta.

Nah, I just believe in my heart of hearts that the most positive use is as wrist rocket fodder.

But 2 each his/her own.

Can't stand them, they taste weird. Not so affected that I'd give a thumbs down though.

I eat them all the time. I roast them with olive oil and some spices. If you do not cook them right they can be very bitter, which is why a lot of people may not like them.
