Need a last minute gift? May I suggest?

May I suggest one of the baskets, or perhaps a llama or water buffalo from Heifer International. Heifer does not just feed the hungry, but sets them up so that they can feed themselves. For example, a gift of a llama will set up a cottage industry in weaving that will help make a family or village self sufficient.

Update:

Hello, my friend (((Suzanne))). Yes, I love these guys. They're top of our list.

Update 2:

LOL, Andy. I'm sure you know, then, that they always s**t in the same place, which is why they make nifty golf caddies in North Carolina. True.

Update 3:

Sweetie, there's that bunny again. I must have it!!! :-)

I never heard of Heifer International before, I know of World Vision and they have a similar program of gifting animals. I can't afford to buy a whole Llama but I could afford to buy a flock of the feathered animals. Thanks for the link, what a great idea!

Wonderful link- Thanks! I've never heard of them and they are based out of Little Rock, AR. I'm from Arkansas- what a great organization that sounds like I need to see if they need volunteers! Thanks again! Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays!!!

My girls "sell" these chickens and such through their school. It's a wonderful program. You can buy seeds even. Very good program.

sounds like a good way to increase the planet's population and catapult homo sapiens a bit closer to extinction

  • I believe that this would fall under the "spam" category.
