Can you help me to view DVD-RW 1.4 Discs, recorded with Hitachi DZ-BX35E Cam Cord., on my E System PC. model Ei302 with pentium 4, running W-.XP.

Dvd-RW drive(D) hardware IDE-DVD DVDRW 8801 Type DVD/CD-R.( Tested O.K. )

Media Player and CyberLink v7 installed . Neither play the above DVD. I have watched this DVD on another Pc. using CyberLink.

When I,ve tried "PLAY" the message " no disc in drive (D)" appears. Also under”PLAY” on the toolbar DVD/CD is shaded grey i.e.not available.

As my Cam Corder does not connect to PC. I would be most grateful if you can tell me what I should purchase/download or do to view my Vids

Thank you for any time you may spend on this,

Sounds like you did not finalise (close) the disc in your camcorder - but anyway you should try it this way

Use a programme called Ulead VideoStudio - you take the mini-disc out of your camcorder and put it into the DVD tray of your PC making sure it sits centrally in the little depression made for it. You may have to 'finalise' the mini DVD your camera manual will tell you how to do that - but you should note that once a DVD is finalised you cannot record any more video on it.

Inside VideoStudio you select "Insert DVD" and point the programme at the DVD and follow the prompts and the video is copied from the disc into the timeline of VideoStudio so that you can edit it - add lots of different videos together - add titles/music/narration - make a file that you can e-mail or upload to 'Youtube' etc. and finally burn to a full size DVD to play in a standard player.

Full details and a one month free trial of VideoStudio from :-
