How can one turn off the annoying GAP video?

One run of this video per log-on is certainly sufficient. Having it run every time you look at a category or question is aggravating in the extreme.

    If you use Mozilla Firefox, you can get an extension called Adblock Plus which will block those annoying advertisements that are all over the net. I haven't used it for this one, but it should work.

    UPDATE: I just downloaded Adblock Plus and it works! It takes 2 seconds to download, I recommend it. Heres the URL: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/186...

    Someone answered this from Australia and they don't have the add so the recommended going through another county. Go to bottom of screen and click on say England and come in that way thus no add. You can still do everything you do now just no annoying add.

    The people who regulate Yahoo Answers seem to find that couple cute or amusing...I personally wrote a similar question, but I doubt they'll do anything about it until after the holidays. Personal taste becomes public domain when you have money...go figure!

    I only heard this ad for the first time yesterday, it hit the UK and Ireland server in the morning. All I can do is turn the volume right down, Yeah its very annoying right.

    I agree and I asked the same question last week, with no conclusive answer. I have resorted to turning the volume down on my laptop..... i don't see why i should have to mute it every time.

    It has now become the most irritating side to Yahoo Answers - They need to listen to their consumers. Are you listenening Yahoo?

    theres a little white pause button. be sure to click that. dont click the add or u go to the web site for gap

    Source(s): i know im never gonna shop there

    u could try writting letters to the gap about it or to yahoo answers (maybe its one of their sponsors) and see if they do anything. all i do is turn the volume to mute and i don't even realize its there sometimes.

    how come this question is being so frequently asked and no one is doing anything about it.

  • 1 decade ago

    Yahoo is killing their golden goose as users install adblock or quit using Yahoo. Not a smart move.

  • 1 decade ago

    you can't...you have to write letters of complaint to GAP and maybe they will take it off;

    custserv@gap.com

    I have already sent some emails about it.

    PS some people seem to think that we do not have that GAP ad in Australia....well, we do.
