this is something my pepere told me when i was struggling my first year, "you are never the best until you were the worst." the thing is its okay to be hard on yourself, but not all the time. save your tantrums for big things. if you strike out in the 2nd innning, big deal, who cares, youll get at least 2 more chances. but if its bot 9th, game tied and you strike out with the bases loaded, then feel free to let the emotion run out. idk why i said that, that didnt really help but w.e. i dont really know if there are drills or anything to help you not be so hard on yourself, but maybe you should be hard on yourself earlier. dont get mad and hard on strike 3, try it on a strike 1 or even strike 2, and then take it on the baseball. slam that baseball, because the more pissed you are at the ball, the better contact you will make.
and i think that other person was write, i think you misunderstood derek jeter. but hes a good rolemodel if your heading that way

Just have a positive outlook. Which is hard to do, I know. Just think about it. You probably will have another at bat, so just calm down and think about what you did wrong in that at bat. Take a deep breath and next time be prepared for what got you last time. Whether it was the change-up, or those high pitches(oh boy those kill me!). Try to think what you might have done wrong so that next time you can smash it! The main thing that helps me is taking a deep breath and realizing everyone has their bad games.

Its hardwork buddy, im in the same boat as you, except when i make a bad play i smile and shrug it off, frustation clouds your brain, practice put it on work and be dedicated man, and make an adjustment, be a leader on the field, and im playing high school ball for a good school so its alot of pressure for me to do good, and i hope to play major leauge ball in the next 6-7 years or so also so good luck to ya man, practice and shrug the frustration off. Im a pitcher and i love it when i take the batter out his hame.

Cut down on your stride and swing. In practice, bunt more to get the hand-eye coordination and foot position to keep the ball fair.
Try practicing switch-hitting. A lot of batters get into a bad habit on their natural side and can't get out of it. When they go to the other side, they have to think about every part of their stance and swing, so they mentally adjust their mechanics to be more disciplined. Amazingly, when they step back in their normal way, the discipline follows them and they are able to hit again! I do this drill with my kids, and the lowest batter was .667 last season.

If you can make contact on the ball 3 out of 10 times, than you're an all star! Try not to think of the past, think of what you will do in the next ab bat.
Study everything about the pitcher. His wrist movement, elbow arch, and especially, what he throws. Its good to get a scouting report before games, it all starts in the on deck circle. See what pitches he throws, and get a good feel for where he's at in his pitch count.

Baseball is a skill like music. You know when you do things right and you know when you don't do things right. You will learn to do by doing and will have a natural instint that reinforces doing things right and avoid doing things wrong. It is true that you are your own best critic and tends to be hard to deal with. Learn to dance with the game and keep up. Dance like a butterfly and sting like a bee.

being hard on yourself is not getting mad and frustrated. What he means is that he pushed himself to be better in a more efficent way than anyone else could have. When you stike out think about your about. replay the at bat over and over until you realize the adjustment that you need to make. When you become frustrated you will not perform. I played juco and D-1 ball, but i was a pitcher and i love carving up guys who would get frustrated over it.
