If 6 people are sitting around a circular table and they all shake hands - without crossing - there are only two ways this can occur.
Either: AB CD EF or BC DE FA

List them out:
1-2 3-4 5-6
1-2 3-6 4-5
1-4 2-3 5-6
1-6 2-5 3-4
1-6 4-5 2-3
That makes 5.
Remember, you aren't allowed to have crossing hands. That means 1 can't shake hands with 3 without leaving 2 out in the cold. Also 1-2 (1 shaking hands with 2) is the same as 2-1.

I don't understand your example... 4 * 2/11 = 8/11 Where did the 4/1 come from...that's not right.... Unless what you are saying is that the 4 turns into 4/1...that's correct, A whole number can always be written as a fraction by putting a 1 in the denominator. So say you had the number 7 and it had to be written in fraction form, it would be written as 7/1 (a fraction is just another way of dividing so think 7 divided by 1 is what? 7) So up in your example you would have 4/1 * 2/11 multiply the numerators and multiply he denominators 8/11. I hope that was at least a little helpful

I'm not sure if this is the answer, but I thought about it...
if their were 6 people around a circular table and they all shaked hands...they can only shake hands with either the one sitting right or left of them...
that would mean 2...
since their are 6 people at the table...
just multiple the number of people "6" with "2" and you will get your answer...

I'm horrible at math (I think*), but then I'm just going to give this one a try
but then...thinking about it agian...
each person has 2 hands...
so you might as well multiply 2 with 12
which would mean 24....ahaha

but I'm guessing it's 12...uhh...I think* -_-'

102 different ways. u do 2 hands times 6 people witch is 12, 12 people times 6 becuae 6 x 6 is the number of them all wiht one hand then 2 for 2 hans

You could only shake hands with the people beside you....so each person would only shake hands twice making it 2.
