Stood up, what to do?

A friend of mine and I had scheduled a date for a week ago. He spaced on the date because he thought there was a basketball game I had to attend to (part of my job at the radio station where I work.) I understood that, and gave him a second chance. That was supposed to be tonight. He called me earlier in the day to confirm, and a couple of times after that.

Then, I get a call that he'll be stuck at work waiting on a couple from New York who wanted to go buy a car at the dealership where he works. He said he'd call me back as soon as he knew when he'd be out, but he never did. Is it me, or is something fishy here?

It's a big money if he can deal a car,he assumes that you can understand it anyway,so just try to.and give him another chance.

For now i would let it slide, he did call and confirm and confirm so obviously he wanted it to happen. So try a third time, just let him know that if he doesn't make it things are not going to work out.

Nothing fishy there. It is what it is.....He had other things that he considered more important than his date with you.

Unless he suffers from short-term memory loss, I would chalk it up to experience and move on.

Life is too short to deal with an inconsiderate person.

It is your life and your choice.

something fishy (or flakey). I mean, it's midnight. Unless something bad happened to him (heaven forbid) then there is no excuse. if he wanted to see you, he would. if he wanted to see you and he couldn't, he would have called.

    Bottom Line.

if you're upset enough about it to post a question about it on here, shows your devotion to this person.

...by them not calling, it shows you their's. (or their lack of)

Let him know you understand that things change and if he changes his mind, it's okay but you really need to know. Good friendships are built on honesty. That goes both ways.

Something sounds fishy BUT I think you should talk to him about it.
