What do I need to know about flying on Northwest Airlines with my 6 month old baby?

In march i'll be flying from WI to CA on northwest and i would like to know if there is anything i should know about flying with my daughter...

Will we be in one seat???

Do they allow formula again? (I know they didn't after 9-11)

How do I find out this information without calling them?

We - my wife myself and son (now ten) have flown extensively all flights on NWA in the USA and KLM abroad. My son flew with us for the first time when he was 5months old, he flew with us twice a year on average. No problems at all.

    TO YOUR QUESTION

If you have other questions write NWA.COM

A six month old is held on mothers lap tied to mother/father with an extension belt.

During takeoff and landing of U.S. registered civil aircraft, each person on board that aircraft must occupy a seat with a safety belt properly secured about him. a person who has not reached his second birthday may be held by an adult who is occupying a seat.

    Formula is allowed.

Medications, baby formula and food, breast milk, and juice are allowed in reasonable quantities exceeding three ounces and are not required to be in the zip-top bag. Declare these items for inspection at the checkpoint.

    they let babies on.

but you might want to check with a pediatrician before you go.

just to see if she has ear infections or anything.

if she does. she might go deaf.

yes, they did stop letting formula on the airplanes.

    but now they do.

only if you have a baby.

so, you'll have to show the people the baby and tell them you have formula.

you can try checking with the northwest airlines.

i'm not sure. because i fly american airlines so it might be different.

you will be in a one seat though.

they won't give your daughter a seat

if you're daughter was about 1 or 2 they would make you bring a carseat and put it in a seat.
