Why did women pick shoes to obsess over, instead of a different article of clothing?

shoes complete the outfit.

you can make an outfit dressy or casual just with a pair of shoes.

you can make an outfit sexy or subtle just with pair of shoes.

and plus, there is just so many!

Because shoes really make or break an outfit, a cute pair of strappy shoes can liven up a little black dress and make a gorgeous outfit.. =]

Fer chrissakes, not all women obsess over shoes! Shoe-shopping is insanely boring for me, and it's just a cultural stereotype that women get obsessed with shoes. If you'd hang out with more of us, you might realize that shoe-obsession is actually sort of unusual except in very superficial circles....as is obsession with any material object.

i agree with all the other womens answers ,and shoe's also say a lot about a person for example it is the most thing that says stuff about your style .

Because cute shoes look good on any woman, regardless of weight/height ect.
