Sharing Files over a LAN with XP home and XP Pro?

i have a HP desktop with xp home on it, and a laptop with Pro. the laptop knows the other comp is out there, but says "access denied" or something like that. the home doesnt know the laptop is there, they are both on the same domain, but the other two computers on the LAN, the work comps, are on a whole different domain and are also Pro, but can access the laptop, and cannot find the home.

i know home and pro have some trouble sharing files and such, but is there a way around this?

if you need anymore information, IM me or leave something, i appreciate it

XP Home can not join a domain. You will have to set up common file sharing on both machines. Right click on the files you wish to share and go to properties - allow everyone if you are comfortable with the risk.

The easiest way to do this would be to make a new workgroup and add all the computers you want to make a member of. Run the Network set up wizard from control panel.
