How can i explain to my wife a good reason why ALL our childrens gifts shouldn't be marked from santa? I'm fine with some but I am having a hard time explaining why not ALL.

If they're all from Santa then they might think Mom & Dad forgot about them. They need to be reminded that Mom & Dad love them & bought them presents also. I agree with you!

I'm with you. Children should be taught that parents make some wishes come true to. In my younger years, the things from Santa were wrapped in plain red tissue paper or not wrapped at all. Santa only brings one thing, usually something that has been wanted for a long time.

When we believed in Santa, my parents would put Mom and Dad on all of them except for that big ticket item we asked for- like a bike or video game console.
Santa only brings one gift for each boy and girl. Even cartoons explain this.

You don't want the fat man to get all the credit. Putting Mom and Dad on gifts will let them know that you give them gifts too, will allow for you to explain why they didn't get some of their higher priced gifts (we can't afford it, and Santa doesn't bring that) and certain gifts can be "extra" special because they know they will get them from Mom and Dad (i.e. a certain pair of PJs every year or some other kind of gift tradition you can start)

When the kids go back to school then they're going to feel bad when all of the other kids got presents from their parents and they only got gifts from Santa.

Ironically, marking them all from Santa will help get rid of the belief in Santa sooner.

Because they're probably going to ask why Santa only wrote they're names on only some of the presents. It might make them stop believing in Santa sooner, and you dont want that to happen! It will all just be more complete.
Good luck &&& Merry Christmas!!!!!
