What kind of habitat does a chubby frog need?

My son got a chubby frog for Christmas and we're trying to setup his home.

All the info I can find is very vague when it comes to which is better for him. Should it be the water on one side with dirt and plants on the other, or all dirt/plants with just a water dish?

The chubby frog or Asian painted frog like a semi moist substrate such as sphagnum moss. Take about 2inches of it packed down in your cage and pour about a cup and a half of water in or until the moss is moist all the way through. They will dig little holes and hide and stay moist until feeding time when they ambush hunt as things go by. they are pretty neat little frogs have fun and good luck. Try wikipedia and look up Asian painted frogs and maybe you can get some more info

I found a frog care website:

A chubby frog sounds cute, if you don't think about it too much!

This reminds me of an older friend of mine whose little grandson found a frog and wanted to keep it. She wanted him to let it go, saying she didn't know what frogs ate. The little guy said, "Grandma! Look on "what do frogs eat.com!" Kids nowadays!
