The dog is around a year old rottie / lab mix. When we got him we had a small gray barn cat that he played with and both were happy.

We now have an inside cat (identical daughter to the barn cat) who is about 6 months old.

When the cat is asleep the dog will go up and lay beside her with no problem, he doesnt even try to play with her.

When she's awake the dog wants to sniff her, but if he gets within about 2 ft she becomes aggressive. Once he loses interest in trying to sniff her and wanders off she'll follow him around and attack him at random. She is not playing-she has claws out.

He always runs away, but Im getting concerned she's about to hit his annoyance threshold-he will lash out eventually.

How can I get her to calm down and accept him rather than seeing him as a threat?

We just got a bunny and she took to the bunny at once-theyre already grooming and playing together.

If you run out on the side of the road, can you put in 1 gal like in a normal car and get it started?

I was just told that it requires at least 5 gal in the tank to start.

As a kid I was really interested in PETA until we had a bunch of shark attacks down here (Florida). PETA rented a bunch of billboard signs and put up pictures of sharks being tortured and sharks biting people, then theme of the campaign was that sharks were just fighting back for what we did to them. At 12 years old this mortified me and Ive been against them ever since.

When I went to get Sargent from his kennel yesterday he had a brick in his mouth. One side looked brand new (its from a fire pit we're in the process of building), but the other side was worn down quite a bit. There arent any actual pieces missing, its just worn and pitted. That and the pieces in the corner make me think he didnt eat any.

Is this normal?

Im figuring he needs stronger chew toys. Right now he has a black Kong for his main chew toy. What is tougher than that?

I know the plumbers, electrician, and carpenters unions around here all have programs where they cover school, except for your books, and they set you up with jobs in the industry while youre training, but I cant find any info on getting into one?
