How much Vitamin C does youre body hold?

The excess is all expelled as waste, but what is the max it can hold?

Many products contain 1000mg or more of Vitamin C, but is it doing any good?

its a waste to consume more than 500mg of vitamin C in a 24 hour period. However, if you are a smoker..I'd suggest taking a little bit more than the "usual" dose, because there is something with the chemicals/nicotine in cigarettes that "destroys" the vitamin C in your body.

The only way to test this would be with radioactive Vitamin C, and I don't think we have any volunteers...

Source(s): Don't listen to anyone who says with confidence what he thinks the maximum is. Nobody knows. But it's probably much higher than the FDA-recommended daily value, because their values are generally on the low side.
