Is the 'tax rebate' any higher if you have dependents?

We were just discussing allowing the other parent to claim the kids this year since it wouldnt have affected our return-that changes things.

    Yes, $300 per dependent, on top of the possible $600 for single filers and $1200 for married filers.

  • Yes 300 per dependant. Remember though that this is income and you will have to claim it next year when you file taxes again.
