question about missed period?
ok so i was on the birth control pill for onnly about a month and within the last pills i got my period then right after the last pill i switch to the shot! but ever since then i havent gotten my period.... i havent gotten it well over a month.. almost 2!
my boyfriend and i have done it before i was on the pill and has ejected into me but the next day i took the morning after pill... and that was the only time that he has gone into me other times he just pulls out....
the thing i dont get is how i havent got my period in the longest! i took a pregnancy test last week just in case and it came out negative!
i just want to know why i havent gotten it yet... can it be because of the sudden switch in birth control methods???
note that, that was the only time he went inside of me and the next day i took the moring after pill... so i doubt it has anything to do with that

Several things you need to know here:
1. The shot (is it Depo Privera?) can cancel your period while you're on it.
2. Just because your boyfriend pulls out, doesn't mean he hasn't left any sperm behind. As soon as he gets aroused he may "ooze" some pre-ejaculate that is just full of sperm. If his erection goes in your body, you can get pregnant, whether he ejaculates inside you or not!
Call your doctor's office. Ask what the shot is and whether it can stop your period like that. If you don't like the result, try something else. And for goodness sake, make that man wear protection. STDs are real, unpleasant and sometimes deadly. Trust me, herpes sucks!

i was on the shot about 3 years ago and you arent supposed to get a period while you are on it. its last 3 months then you should get your period and you shuould get another shot unless you want to get pregnant.. but if you are really worried wait 2 weeks and test again and call the doctor but i doubt you are pregnant

I am sure it's the switch, but take a test just to be on the safe side. I was on Loestrin and didn't have periods.

My sister gets the shot and she does not get her period at all, if you are worried that you are pregnant go see your doctor for reassurance.
