Dryness during sex while pregnant?

My wife is 20 weeks pregnant. She is always in the mood, but remains dry. We have tried a number of things, including oral, but she said that she can't feel anything. ( I don't mean that how it sounds, I mean that she couldn't even feel my tongue...like she had no feeling on the outside.) She can feel everything on the inside, but can't get wet. Has anyone had this problem during pregnancy? It started about two months ago and we are getting frustrated at not being able to have sex.

Update:

We can't use KY, especially the warming gel because it burns her instead of giving the warming sensation. It was like that even before the pregnancy. We may have to get the regular KY and give it a try again. Is it safe to use while pregnant?

I have the same problem.I don't know why but it hurts to where I don't even want to have sex.I'll want to but then we try and I'm so dry no matter what and then it hurts then I just don't want it.We just sort of make it go in and then I start to get wet a little bit and then its not that bad after words. You could just make it go in like us.It hurts for me but if you wanna have sex you gotta make the sacrifice.Good Luck!!

I would try the regular KY again unless the doctor has a better suggestion. The dryness won't last forever though so don't worry.

That happen to me also, for the first time tonight, it was a little different though, we started and everything was fin but then out of no where I became dry. I'm actually still in pain.

Lube will always work but use regular, I'm the same way, if there's any type of "extra" it burns.

  • lots and lots of lube!!! It is the hormones and it probably will just get worse (sorry)! As far as the "loss of feeling" the baby may be compressing on some nerves in her pelvic area. She may want to discuss that with her OB just to be safe.

    Congrats on the baby!!

I have had that problem too. We rely on KY warming lubricant. It's good stuff, I recommend it.

i had the same problem, i think its just because your so far along, everything is more squished together, and more sensitive, i know the last couple of weeks i was very sore, but everything turned out just fine, i think your ok, but if you feel like you need to see another doctor, and get a second opinion then you should

Get in car. Drive to drugstore. Buy KY warming, tingling personal lubricant. Apply per instructions...stuff should be labelled "Rocket Fuel"

My girlfriend and I love it. If your lady can't feel anything with that stuff on board, just shoot her...or yourself...K ;o)
