What can we do on the Gold Coast when it is raining?

We are looking for family activities - that don't cost a fortune.

We have already done the theme parks, Currumbin sactuary, and Time Zone. Remember it is raining!!!

Shopping and the cinema's the only thing i can think of, the gold coast is such an outdoors place.

It is very rare that the rain stops you doing outdoor things on the Gold Coast . Most of our rain comes late afternoon . unless you are extremely unfortunate when we get rain during the day it passes quickly. It's great swimming in the rain. Have you tried the gold cinema at harbour town. Or been on the train to Brisbane and wandered along South bank. There are often some super shows on. You could take a tourist bus and go up Mount Cootha . Or have you been around the Oasis centre at Broadbeach and across the centre out door area to Neicon Plaza where you will see a super bronze staue of The man from Snowy River . The poem and lots of opal built around it with water feature.Free as well.] How about a trip up the Q 1.Or a stroll around Marina Mirage and a cruise to Stradbroke . woops maybe out of your price bracket. i know how easy the money runs away with a family .

I'd jump on the train to Brizzy ...check out the mall , wander across to Southbank for lunch & a swim perhaps & there are the Museum &/or the Art Gallery on the south side of the river as well...

All within a short walk from the train station..
