  • australian Passports?

My son was born in Australia 1971 . He held a australian passport after he was born but it never got renewed . Mother and Father both Australian citizens but one born in Nz and the other in England. He is 43 now and would like another Australian passport. I believe he couldn't renew his old one after the year 2000 . He lives in Switzeland married to a Swiss but uses a english passport which he was entitled to he also at one stage had a NZ passport. I always thought he had birth right being born in 71 but someone told him he needs to re apply for Australian citizenship. Father is now deceased. Mother. brother sister and their families all have Australian passports and live in Australia. he is a good citizen . No criminal record. Is their any reason he can not get an Australian passport. I hope not.

  • Seniors who have lost a paartner.?

Do you sit at home sadly and just plod through life. Here in Australia we have a 95 year old man that backpacks around the World. He stays in hostels and has made a lot of young friends and been to over 100 Cities since his wife died. He goes away for many months each time then comes home to plan his next trip. Emirates have up graded him to business class for his next trip. He travels by train when he gets to Europe and walks through the towns. I say Good on him.

  • Do young people give up a seat on a bus anymore?

I'm 64 and normally drive but today went for a walk and found my feet where to sore to walk home. I got a bus back that was full of young people most where in their teens some a little younger some a little older .About 6 young people where standing. Not one person offered me a seat. The disabled seats where taken by young Asians many of them where Australian youngsters. Where has education gone these days. I think many young today are terribly rude and selfish and much more discipline is needed for a better caring society. Im on The Gold coast Australia

  • Touring Tasmania Where do you suggest other than the east coast?

In October we are going to Tasmania and have 3 nights Hobart then not sure about the other 4 nights. We have travelled the east Coast to Launceston before so now wondering about the other areas. Where would you suggest. We are thinking of driving up the centre and take a peek at Cradle Mountain and maybe Stanley or would you go via the west coast. Any suggestions and places to stay other than Hobart would be appreciated. Thanks
