The living body has living nerves. When the soul leaves the body, the body, and the nerves, die.

According to the parable of the Rich man and Lazarus, when the rich man lifted up his eyes in hell he was tormented, so I guess the soul does have nerve endings. At least the soul can tell if it is tormented or not, according to Jesus.

Well, the soul is just brain function, and brains have nerve endings. So I suppose a soul must, in some sense.

I'm going to vote no on that one. The soul is the spiritual part of a person, not physical.

this one confuses me Bettie ...
I dont mind admitting it
I believe the soul/spirit to be much like the human aura
it is our energy , our blueprint ... everything we are/have been/will be
but yet there are auric counterparts to our body ... such as limbs, organs etc
and working on these counterparts can affect our physical body ...
so if we are ill , our aura will show this ...
if we use healing on the aura , our body will benefit
in cases of phantom limbs ... the auric counterpart is still there
and this may explain why people can feel limbs they no longer have
so is the aura capable of feeling ?
it seems so
so can the spirit ? ...... perhaps
yet in the spirit realm , it is said that there is no more pain
yes this is one of my stumbling blocks in my belief
