DJs performing live: what do they do exactly?
For instance : DJ Tiesto.
Hes the man. But for a live show, what exactly is he doing up there on stage? I'm not familiar with what tools DJ are able to use live so any information is cool with me.
Does he just control the levels of different sounds? I have no idea and this has always been bugging me!

They match the beats of the songs together so the music never stops.

It's all computer generated these days. DJs don't use the vinyl stuff anymore. They loop the music so it plays constantly during the song and just add beats and effects into as they go along.
