I'm quite sure the pakistani government are responsible and they're using the terrorists as a cover up. The leader of the pakistani based al-qaeda, has denied the governments claim, and said they wouldn't kill a woman, and if you think about it al-qaeda usually have no problem in admitting to their attacks, as they believe they're doing the right thing. Also, as Benazir Bhutto knew her death was inevitable, before she died she left a list of people who were possible people who could have her killed, and apparently most of them on the list were from the Pakistani government

Well I have seen the last moving images released by the Pakistani Government. It clearly shows a man with a small pistol. For such a man, with an ammunition, to get so close to Benazir Bhutto is really strange. I personally believe that the blame should be put on the Pakistani Government/ Intelligence Agencies. One obvious reason that why the blame should be put on them is the lack of security. They should have ensured that the crowd could not get close to Benazir Bhutto's vehicle after she was leaving the rally. Why the security cordon collapsed after the end of the rally? She was a Former Prime Minister and clearly would have become the next one. The blame is on the Government.

Whoever killed, she was destined for it.I think she should have been much smarter since she had escaped the blast few weeks back.Pakistani leaders are suffering for their own lack of foresight.Musharaff should not be given the space to breath anymore, otherwise there are more tragadies are in the waiting list.If this continues even god cant save Pakistan.

Yeah there's no way the US gov't did this, though they are up to alot, they loved Bhutto. Bush would have to be unbelieavably high to do that. But if you know the details, it goes back to India. There training MANY people to attack Pakistan. There playing alot of games with the world but they are really to blame. They said they were scared that al qeada would attack them just to make people think they are completely innocent. BTW China needs to start helping my Pakis. What happened to allies????

I believe it was a misled person who obeys the Taliban...

Now whether Musharaf played a hand in it... I don't know but I think it's very possible.

And I completely agree with Mamode R -

How could it NOT be a terrorist?

That is, afterall, the definition of terrorism...

I think you forget Bhutto and her husband bilked Pakistan for millions, purportedly billions, through creating a gold-standard clearinghouse and other cases of graft. Bhutto was worthless for Pakistan. Then again, so is Musharaf. And I fail to see how the US "controls" him in any sort of fashion. Seen the latest U.S. cover of Newsweek? "The most dangerous country in the world: Pakistan."

I don't honestly know, I believe it's a terroist attack. Also, why do people believe that bush is behind everything. Some people hate him because he sticks to his word. He does what he says. Plus no one ever stops to think about how the world would be if Al Gore was president, things would be much different.

The US government? Come on! She was a pro-democracy leader, if anything we would have been secretly helping her. The Pakistani government has said it was a terrorist attack and Al-Quadi has claimed responsibility but I don't buy it. Al-Quadi will take credit for any activity that took anyones/anythings life. I think that the Pakistani government either did it themselves or paid Al- Quadi to do it.

I think President Musharraf is behind the attack. He's the only person who can benefit from her death. Now that she's dead,Musharraf can rest assured that no one is going to take Pakistan from him.
