What ever happened to Shannon Briggs, I haven't heard much about him lately?

Probably because he fell somewhat silent after failing to deliver on his promises to beat Sultan Ibragimov. He's probably gonna fight someone who doesn't have a hope of winning in a ten-rounder, fight an eliminator, and then have a fight for one of the belts.
On the plus side, Vlad vs Sultan has been mooted for February 23. Our long wait for a Heavyweight unification bout may finally be over.

Shannon Briggs was a disapointment to American Boxers in the Heavyweight Divsion. He barely won the WBO strap when KO'd his opponent in the 12th round by way of a lucky punch. Next he boasted that he wanted to fight Klitschko(yeah like that was going to happen!) Next he fought Ibragamov and boasted he was going to KO Ibragamov, but in return got dominated lopsidedly for 12 rounds. I hope he does consider retirement and stay out of boxing. At least as a fighter.

hes probably retired his last two fights dissapointed me big time. i use to be big fan of briggs back in the day when he beat foreman and won the belt. i thought lewis had no chance against but his stamina wouldnt hold up in that bout. shanon is probably done hes getting old hes lost all his speed he use to have and he looks more winded that ever. i here hes talking about a future match with a top contender and he has a movie coming out. honestly i woulldnt want to see him fight again.

Losing a boring decision to Sultan Ibragimov didn't help his career, I imagine we've seen the last of Briggs on the big stage.

I think he's semi-retired but if someone throws enough money at him I'm sure he'll be back in the ring again.

he has a new movie, the retirement, coming out next year. as far as boxing goes, as far as i can make out, he has no immediate plans to fight again.
