  • Should I cut this tree and remove it?

I will be renting a new house soon and in the back yard I have two trees with several of the tree's roots coming out the ground. Some of the roots are severe trip hazards. Should I cut the trees and remove them and what is the cost of the trees being removed? They are large size trees and both are a least 10 - 15 ft from the house.

  • 2 upsets in the six-man Super Middleweight Tournament?

Even though it will not be a major upset because he is the favorite in this fight coming up in October, but since Carl Froch is the WBC champion and is coming off a sensational comeback KO of Jermain Taylor people think he will handle Andre Dirrell. I can honestly tell this forum that Dirrell has the speed and skill to outbox Froch and claim his first world title.

The other upset I can see coming might be Ward vs Kessler. I like both fighters, but this might be a close win for Ward. He showed skill and heart against Miranda. Kessler can be out worked as he was did against Calzaghe. Ward has the speed to do just that. I see this upset but it will be a hard one for Ward...

  • A Tribute to Arturo Gatti?

Upon hearing about Arturo Gatti's death I wanted to ask a question what was was your best slugfest fight that involved Gatti or anyone else in boxing that you have seen in your lifetime. I am listing my top five all time fights and here that are:

Hearns vs Hagler - 3 rounds of hell!

Foreman vs Lyle - 5 rounds of knockdowns!

Ward vs Gatti - Round 9 was a round that had you out your seats!

Marquez vs Vasquez - All three fights especially the secound fight with round 4 being very dramatic!

Holyfield vs Bowe - The first fight was my best!

Gatti vs Rodriguez - The birth of the "Human Highlights' career!

Corrales vs Castillo - The fight of the ages! Especially round 10!

    R.I.P. Gatti!!

  • Who will Nickolai Valuev fight next?

This heavyweight world champion does not deserve to own a title! Even though he owns a WBA title it is the disgrace of titles. This sanction has more champions then then all sports combined including boxing!

More importantly in the heavyweight division they have Nicolai Valuev as a champion! (VOMIT!) He has no skills except height! He looked horrible against an OLD Evander Holyfield, and now he might be fighting John Ruiz! Ruiz OMG! Ruiz has done nothing but beg to get this title shot again and he might just get it! DAMN!!!

My question is Nicolai Valuev can not and may never get a fight against either Klitchsko brother, so what will he do but defend against a string of no bodies even JOHN RUIZ for a third time and be talked about as a champion who should never owned a title!

If anyone he should fight and that person needs to step up and go over to Europe and take the title from this fraud is Chris Arreola! David Haye is more concerned with fighting the Klitschkos and does not care about Valuev. That leaves a perfect opportunity for Arreola to go over there and bring a title back to the U.S.

Unfortunately that may not happen, and Valuev will defend against no bodies.

    Your Thoughts???

  • Can u say upset on July 13th?

I know everyone in boxing is giving Miguel Cotto a 3 to 1 odds to winning his fight against Joshua Clottey. I like Cotto and think he has developed his skills to becoming more of a boxer-puncher then the brawler he once was at 140lbs, but if you are a student of the art of sweet science, in which I am one of them students. I can tell you that Joshua Clottey is very underrated. He has a chin, fast hands, tight defense, and nice footwork. Plus I never seen him really faustrated except twice in which in both times he was winning when he wound up losing both fights. One by UD and the other by DQ. In both of them losses he was giving his opponents hell when he broke his hands in one fight and used his head in the other. I honestly will say Clottey has been avoided more then Paul Williams. He is a dangerous package! He will be hungry this Saturday and I for one will ask can he pull of a shock and upset this Saturday?

  • Amir Khan vs Marco Antonio Barrera at 135lbs?

Now I just found this out, and it might turn out like Khan's fight against Prescott. Amir Khan is fighting future HOF Marco Antonio Barrera on March 14th. Now my question is why? Is Khan in that league yet to step big like this, and is Frank Warren setting himself up for a big failure on this one. I alone do not like to see this matchup for several reasons:

    1. Barrera is still a good fighter and is not shot.

    2. He is not rusty by no means! His last fight was about 3 months ago and he won by KO.

    3. Barrera can punch! With 43KO's to his record and Khan's chin I do not know about this one!

  • WTF!! Riddick Bowe is coming back! What is wrong with the state of boxing?

You know over the years of me being a boxing fan and a amateur boxer I have seen fights where fighters knew they were out there prime and they still want to fight with embarrasing results! Examples:

Joe Louis KO 8 Loss to Rocky Marciano

Muhammad Ali TKO 10 Loss to Larry Holmes

Sugar Ray Leonard TKO 5 Loss to Hector Camacho

Pernell Whitaker TKO 4 Loss to Carlos Boriquez (Misspelled last name)

Mike Tyson KO 4 loss Danny Williams

Evander Holyfield vs Nickoli Valuev - That is coming up soon!

Now you have Riddick Bowe coming out of retirement again to fight on the undercard of Rahman vs W. Klitschko in January. Now this is a shame and it should not be allowed! Bowe's reflexes are slow and so is his speech! Have you heard him talk!?!?! There needs to be regulation in this sport it is getting out of hand! I also heard Iran Barkley is coming back! WTF!!!! What is wrong with the art of sweet science?? Any answers?

  • Do you Agree this fight scares you?

You know after seeing the Jones Jr. vs Calzaghe fight and Jones Jr looked really old and was cut for the first time I have seen in my lifetime seeing him fight. He wants to still fight and that is somewhat frightning, but this next fight coming up on December 20th has me really scared for this all-time great and sure fire hall of famer! Nickoli Valuev will fight Evander Holyfield in Germany. Now first Holyfield is 46 yrs old, looked horrible vs Ibragamov in his last fight, and still is thinking he can win this belt in route to unify the heavyweight division! I understand the man needs money and he has KIDS, but this is not the fight he needs to take and he should retire and enjoy that his career was great and his fans like myself will not forget. I for one will not watch the you tube videos of this fight or his fight going back to 1999. I pray he will be cool and enjoy his life......

  • Roy Jones Jr. if he would have remained at 168lbs.?

Roy Jones Jr at 168lbs was at his perfect weight. He ko'd everbody he faced and his speed was unmatched by anyone at that weight class. In my opinon he would have dominated every fighter in that weight class from 1994 - present. He would have still made the IBHOF because look at the oppostion he would have faced and beaten if the fights came around:

Nigel Benn - He would have KO'd inside the distance.

Chris Eubank - Lopsided Decision in 12.

Steve Collins - Lopsided Decision in 12.

Marcus Beyer - KO'd inside the distance.

Robin Reid - KO'd inside the distance.

Joe Calzaghe - Corner stoppage in late rounds

    Jeff Lacy - Corner stoppage

Mikkel Kessler - Lopsided decision in 12

Seven Oktte - PLEASE he would have stopped him inside the distance.

Anybody else he would have outclassed at 168lbs. This division he would have held all four belts and DOMINATED!

In the history of professional boxing can think of a decision that a boxer has gotten that was so outrageous that you wonder what the people who scored the fight were smoking! I have a lot of fights that were judged badly but I can pick one.

Any other professional fights that were judged badly?

  • Agree or disagree with what Evander Holyfield said?

Here is what future hall of famer Evander Holyfield said about the USA boxing amateur program.

    From yahoo sports:

(Former world heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield believes the failure of the U.S. boxing team at the Olympics can be traced back to an obsession with money.

Holyfield had predicted three American golds in boxing here but only heavyweight Deontay Wilder is still standing of the nine who began the tournament.

“They didn’t do very well, not well at all,” Holyfield, a bronze medallist at the Los Angeles Olympics in 1984, told Reuters at the Worker’s Gymnasium on Tuesday.

“We’ve got to tighten up the amateur programme so that in four years we do a whole lot better.

“The problem is that these days it’s all about money. When it’s all about money this happens. The guys are just thinking about money. There’s a kind of manipulation where the kids are being told ‘go and turn pro, gold medals aren’t important’.

“(The managers) don’t want the guys winning golds because then they have to pay them more.”

Holyfield racked up more than 150 wins as an amateur before turning professional in 1984 and believes that grounding enabled him to join the list of American boxing greats such as Oscar De La Hoya, Muhammad Ali and George Foreman, all of whom won Olympic gold medals.

“Back in the day, amateur boxing was on TV every weekend in the States,” Holyfield said. “It inspired you to box.

“When you have a good amateur programme it helps develop well-rounded boxers. Look at the pro game now. Why do the championships change hands so quickly? It’s because these guys don’t know how to fight different styles.

“When you’re a pro you avoid the fighters whose style doesn’t suit your style, it makes them weak. Amateur boxing is harder than pro, you have to fight everybody in your draw.

“Without a good amateur grounding, it’s the same as missing elementary and middle school and high school. It’s your education as a boxer.”)

  • Muhammad Ali vs other heavyweights of the 20th century?

Recently I read a article on ESPN.com that had Muhammad Ali in his prime(around the time of when he destroyed Cleveland Williams in 3 rounds in 1966.) taking on other Heavyweights of the 20th century in their prime. For most parts I agree with espn.com because styles make fights, but hey anything can happen. They picked these five heavyweights and posted the outcome of each fight.

    1. Ali vs Dempsey - Ali by decision win

    2. Ali vs Louis - Ali by decision win

    3. Ali vs Marciano - Ali by decision or late round stoppage due to cuts.

    4. Ali vs Tyson - Ali by decision or late round stoppage due to exhaustion.

    5. Ali vs Lewis - Lewis by decision

Is it me or is the former head coach now one of the commentators for the basketball games Doug Collins ridin Labron James d&c%! I mean the man be talking about James a little too much like he is jocking the man. I had watched games and be hearing Doug Collins talk about James for about 10 minutes! I know King James is the shizznit but man we know his skills quit riding the man's johnson!

  • Amateur boxing Scoring. Is it a burden or an enlightment?

Me as a amateur boxer and fan of the sport of boxing can put this question out there for debate. I have been watching the olympics and I am not a big fan of the way they score in the amateur boxing in a whole as it is, but the judges were awarding fighters points for punches when I did not see none thrown or not awarding punches when the punches were landed cleanly. I know for a fact that punches thrown to the body are not counted and that is a shame because I like going to the body hard when I fight. 2008 Flyweight Olympian Rashee Warren in my opinion was robbed out of his fight! That just goes back to Roy Jones Jr., Evander Holyfield, and Michael Carbajal they were robbed, amateur boxing needs a big clean-up!

  • Beibut Shumenov?? Who is this fighter? He is moving fast!

A 2004 Olympian from Kazakhstan he has only been a pro for only one year and is moving fast up in competetion as a Light Heavyweight! He has fought fighters who were either decent contenders and most recently a former 175lb champion. Here is his track list so far....

    - first two fights were against fighters with 0-1 records.

    - In his third fight he fought Shannon Miller - 23-39-8 - TKO win in 4.

    - In his fourth fight he has fought Donnell Wiggins - 24-10-4 - KO win in 2.

    - In his fifth fight he fought a boxer by the name of Lavell Finger - 26-2 - KO 1 win in 1.

In his last fight he fought former WBC champion Montell Griffin and beat him very lopsidedly to a UD decision win.

His record is 6-0 5ko's and he is only 23 yrs of age.

What you make of this hidden talent or is another carefully shielded fighter looking to get exposed?

Man that fighter was beaten badly before the fight ended that way! My question is was there any other fights in history that ended so badly that it made you puke or throw things at the TV set?
